She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, poetry, music (she was an accomplished pianist) and had an intense love of literature. She and her husband of 45 years have enjoyed living on Sanibel Island for 22 years.

Carolyn always had kind words and a loving smile to share. She was deeply passionate about protecting our environment and caring for those in need. Anyone wishing to make a charitable contribution in her honor may do so at the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, C.R.O.W., PURRE or F.I.S.H. These were Carolyn's favorite island organizations.
