On Friday, City of Sanibel employees completed a 10-day food drive, generating more than 650 pounds of food to benefit F.I.S.H., presenting their donations to Maggi Feiner, executive director of F.I.S.H. City employees undertook the food drive to show their support for the Sanibel community.

Employees making the presentation included Charmaine Yeadon, a 30-year city employee and island resident; Maj. Michael Murray, a 25-year city employee and island resident; Sandy Larsen, a 20-year city employee; Maggi Feiner; Matt Fannon, an 11-year city employee and island resident; Terri Cummins, a 10-year city employee and former island resident; Dennis Roberts an 8-year city employee and island resident; and Dana Raco, a 5-year city employee.

"We are all a part of the Sanibel community," said Murray. "After Hurricane Charley struck five years ago, city employees pitched in to help put the city back together. Now we're pitching in to help families survive the current economic hurricane. City of Sanibel employees want to do their part to help local families who temporarily need assistance. We are proud to be a part of the community."
