During last Wednesday's official grand opening celebration for Sanibel Ballet, owner Karen Whitaker, center, cuts the ribbon while being joined by her fellow Sanibel & Captiva Chamber of Commerce members in toasting the occasion.
Located at 975 Rabbit Road (inside the Sanibel Health Club), Whitaker's classes are focused on classical ballet for serious ballet students – those with at least three years of experience in classical ballet and a good knowledge of placement, movement and terms.
