The Island Inn on Sanibel has rooms and cottages available for the upcoming Galloway Captiva Triathlon on Sunday, Sept. 18. The Inn, which is offering a 10 percent discount during this time, has select accommodations for all competing triathletes and their families.
People coming from off-island have been encouraged to stay on Sanibel in order to make the early start easier and minimize any traffic delays. All athletes must have their equipment set up on Captiva by 6:45 a.m. and be ready to start promptly at 7 a.m.
The beautiful historic inn, which is the most established hotel on Sanibel (1895), has 49 comfortable rooms and cottages located on 10 beachfront acres. This beautiful location makes for the perfect place to relax and prepare for the triathlon. You can also book a pre-race high carb dinner for the night before at the Inn's award winning and very popular restaurant, bar and lounge, Traditions on the Beach.
The Galloway Captiva Triathlon is raising money to support the Fort Myers-based charity Community Cooperative Ministries, Inc., whose mission is to fight homelessness and hunger.
The Island Inn is located at 3111 West Gulf Drive on Sanibel, approximately 15 minutes from South Seas Island Resort. To book these special rates, contact the Island Inn directly at 472-1561 and ask about the Captiva Tri rates.
