Traditions on the Beach is reminding businesses and other island groups that bookings are filling up for their holiday parties taking place between Nov. 28, 2011 and Jan. 15, 2012.
The award-winning restaurant, one of the only beachfront dining rooms on Sanibel, has been taking holiday reservations for more than five months, with bookings varying from groups of five people up to 200 guests.
"Chef Aziz and I have added some of our favorite seasonal dishes to include on the selection of holiday party menus," said Andrea Mucciga, host of Traditions on the Beach. "We're very excited for our first full holiday season on Sanibel."
Traditions on the Beach opened last year on Dec. 24, and so was not available for holiday parties last year; but this year, the restaurant will be open to guests on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Holiday favorites such as duck and lamb are being offered alongside some of the signature seafood and pasta dishes that the Italian and Mediterranean cuisine the restaurant is known for.
Live music will accompany nightly during the seasons, with favorite holiday songs sprinkled in with their normal variety of pop, jazz, show tunes and classics. Joe McCormick, entertainment director at Traditions, has an impressive lineup of favorite musicians and vocalists for this holiday season.
"In addition to Barbara, Marvilla and myself, we'll be bringing in some local favorites during the holidays," said McCormick. "The holidays are fun, and we're looking forward to celebrating with everyone."
