Lyn and George were married in 1956 and spent almost 30 years living in the Yalesville section of Wallingford Ct. She enjoyed gardening, painting and worked as a nurses aide at Memorial Hospital in Meriden and as a floral designer. In 1988, Lyn and George, tired of the cold winters moved to beautiful Sanibel Island, after spending four vacations there, enjoying shell collecting and the laid back lifestyle. She loved handwork and was a proficient knitter, crocheter, quilter and sewer. Lyn was a very active member of the Pelican Knitters, a island group of knitters and crocheters who work for charity.

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date on Sanibel.

Memorial donations can be made in her name to the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, P.O. Box 839, Sanibel, FL 33957.
