The J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge will close the parking lot at the Bailey Tract on Wednesday, April 25, to replace the bridge that leads from the parking lot to the trails.
This construction project will replace the existing bridge with recycled plastic boards. This "green" project will extend the life expectancy of the bridge and enhance visitor access to the area.
Visitors may still access the trails from the refuge entrance on Island Inn Road. The project is expected to be completed in one day and the parking lot and bridge will reopen on April 26.
