A Cape Coral man is accused of obtaining thousands of prescriptions pills through doctor shopping, which have a street value of nearly $300,000.
Jose Raul Miguez, 32, of 4845 Atlantic Court, Apt. 1, was arrested and charged Monday with 32 felony counts of fraud conceal information to obtain prescription. Due to a probation violation, he is being held without bond.
According to an arrest report, the Lee County Sheriff's Office received information that Miguez was possibly obtaining prescriptions from several physicians within the same 30-day periods for similar prescription drugs.

The substances were Oxycodone, Roxicodone, morphine sulfate ER or MS Contin, Alprazolam or Xanax, Vallum, and Klonopin or Clonazepam.
The LCSO initiated an investigation and referenced Florida's Prescription Drug Monitoring Program database to obtain Miguez's medical records.
Authorities found that he used four doctors from three clinics.
Miguez was allegedly a patient of Southwest Florida Medical Solutions, the Renaissance Wellness Center and the Hurricane Pain Clinic, all in Fort Myers.
All three clinics told authorities that Miguez did not report to them that he was visiting other physicians and obtaining prescriptions of similar use.
According to the report, he obtained in excess 10,445 pills - an estimated street value of $289,950 - from the doctors by concealing information.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Lee County Jail.
Miguez was unavailable for comment on the allegations.
It was not clear if he had legal representation as of Wednesday.
Miguez has a court appearance scheduled for July 30.
