Parade spray apology

August 3, 2012
Island Reporter, Captiva Current, Sanibel-Captiva Islander

Dear Editor,

The Sanibel Fire Rescue District has been informed that some spectators at this year's Fourth of July Parade were upset with the use of water spray during the event. The staff at Sanibel Fire Rescue District would like to take this opportunity to apologize for any inconvenience and/or harm that may have occurred during the Fourth of July Parade.

We pride ourselves on providing this great community with the best service we can deliver. The citizens and visitors of Sanibel can be assured that Sanibel Fire Rescue District will continue to serve them with respect, dignity, and professionalism. We had no intention of doing anything that would cause harm to our parade spectators.

We at Sanibel Fire Rescue District enjoy the occasion to interact with our community and we will be sure to be more respectful in the future.

Danny Duncan

Sanibel Fire Chief
