Traditions on the Beach, the beachfront casual dining restaurant located at the Island Inn on Sanibel, celebrated two years in business this week.

The restaurant celebrated its second anniversary on Aug. 22 by hosting a big Jazz night with prime rib, a favorite among diners. The Traditions All Star Jazz band was there to bring rhythm and soul to the evening.

"It has been a wonderful two years and we look forward to many more to come," said Traditions owner Andrea Mucciga. "Without our loyal guests this would not have been possible."

This second year not only brought great memories to many patrons, but also brought an award. Traditions on the Beach recently won the "New Business of the Year" award from the Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce.

"We are very proud of Traditions and all they have accomplished these last two years," said Island Inn general manager Chris Davison. "Their large and loyal following has been delighted with the beachfront location at the Island Inn. We wish Andrea, Sheila and their whole team many more years of success at Traditions on the Beach."
