FISH of Sanibel (Friends In Service Here) is is gearing up for its series of free workshops in November.

The "mom & toddlers group" is open to all islanders from 10 to 11 a.m. on Nov. 12 and 26 at the FISH walk-in center. All island moms of children from birth though age 5 are welcome either alone or with their children. It is a time for fun, refreshments, learning and sharing with other moms and their children.

They work together to research and organize new topics of discussion, introduce interesting speakers and maintain regular get-together times. This group is sponsored by FISH, Healthy Start of Lee County, and the United Way of Lee County.

The women's empowerment group meets at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the walk-in center, providing a source of support for women.

The budgeting workshop plays out from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 18 at the walk-in center. Facilitated by Celia Hill, home economist for the Lee County Home Extension, this workshop provides the basic tools for everyone who would like to evaluate their current budget to make changes for better money management and successful budgeting.

To sign up or to request more information on any of the workshops call Christine or Jessi at 472-4775, or visit www.fishofsanibel.com/events
