The Galloway Captiva Triathlon returns to South Seas Island Resort for the third year on the weekend of Sept. 14 -15.
The noncompetitive children's race for 6-13 year-olds is set for Saturday, Sept. 14. The timed adult sprint triathlon is set for Sunday, Sept. 15. Although the race courses have not been set at this time, they will be similar to 2012. Registration will open May 1.
The Galloway Family of Dealerships again has agreed to be the title sponsor for 2013.
"We love the family nature of the event and the fact that in 2012 the triathlon raised $15,000 for CCMI," said Robert Galloway.
CCMI, fighting to end homelessness and hunger in our community, once again is the benefitting charity for 2013.
"We are so pleased to have both The Galloway Family of Dealerships and South Seas Island Resort continuing to participate. That combination helps make this a great event," said race director Angie Ferguson.
Photos from the 2012 race are still available on the race website, www.captivatri.org.
