Florida Tarpons honor heroes

February 22, 2013

The Florida Tarpons indoor football franchise announced recently the commemorative naming of their football field at Germain Arena as Hero's Field.

RealTime Wireless and the Tarpons seized the opportunity to give back to America's heroes in a way that shows appreciation of their efforts and sacrifices. The team will honor each and every one of them by naming the field and will continue this appreciation by inviting all of these heroes to free football for the entire 2013 season.

This invitation is extended to all veterans, active military personnel, police officers, fire fighters, EMS operators and any qualified "First Responders." Just present valid I.D. at the Germain box office and receive two $7 credits towards any ticket available for that game. Tickets start at $7, so each "Hero" gets two free tickets to each and every game this season.

The Southwest Florida community is invited to help honor these heroes by attending the ceramonial naming of the field at the Tarpons' home opener on Monday, March 18 at Germain Arena. Autographed game balls will be presented to selected veterans and local heroes.
