The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum has appointed Ann Parker as its business manager.
Parker relocated to the Fort Myers area as a child with her family in 1972 from Richmond, Ind., and visited Sanibel almost every Sunday growing up.
A graduate of Hodges University, Parker holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting and has many years of business management experience, including work as the regional business manager for Beasley Broadcasting Group, and seven years of non-profit experience.
In her most recent position, she served as financial accountant for the Health Planning Council of Southwest Florida, a non-profit serving the child development, health and housing needs of underserved families in Collier, Lee, Hendry and Sarasota counties.
Parker enjoys her role as a mother to her 8-year-old son, Kyle, and caring for several four-legged friends with whom she shares her home, including two dogs, Diamond and Simon. She spends free time traveling, scuba diving and watching Gators football.
