Twirl his arteries, man alive,

Here comes Mister By-pass Five,

No longer fat and bouncing, boys,

Article Photos

Poetic License. Joe Pacheco.

Nor solid avoirdupois.

Mister By-pass Five,

Five by-passed and five re-tied,

He now measures his days

from morn to night

Since they made him By-pass Five.

Mister By-pass Five

Starts each day with exercise,

No more mellow hep fat,

just poly-unsat,

Since they made him By-pass Five.

That man

no longer moves it

like a fat man,

His only trouble is

there's no way

of knowin'

How long he's coming on

or goin'.

Mr. By-pass Five,

Took all it took to keep him alive,

He now treasures his days

from morn to night,

Since they made him By-pass Five.
