Bank of the Islands/Edison National Bank is returning as Presenting Sponsor for the sixth edition of the Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation's Wines in the Wild event, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 9 from 6-8 p.m. at SCCF's Nature Center.
"Wines in the Wild is truly an island event, with people reconnecting after a summer break," said Erick Lindblad, SCCF executive director. "We are grateful to our friends and neighbors at Bank of the Islands for joining with us again this year and for their support of this event and our mission."
Wines in the Wild 2013 will feature an array of wine and food for tasting. In addition, there will be exciting auction packages which will feature unique experiences.

"Geoff and I have always loved this event, serving on the Host Committee and helping pour wine at the tasting stations," said Bank of the Islands President Robbie Roepstorff. "Having the bank become Presenting Sponsor was just a natural fit within our ongoing commitment to SCCF. We truly love the good work they do to keep our islands such special places for us and for wildlife."
Reservations can be made by calling SCCF at 472-2329. Tickets are $75 per person pre-paid and $85 at the door. Bank of the Islands, a name synonymous with island community banking since 1974, is located at 1699 Periwinkle Way, at the corner of Casa Ybel Road, on Sanibel. The Captiva office is at 14812 Captiva Drive, next to the Captiva Post Office. As the oldest locally owned and managed community bank on the islands, Bank of the Islands is proud to be the winner of 24 "Best of the Islands" awards since 1999, including being chosen the Best Island Bank for 14 years straight.
Wines in the Wild will be held on the grounds at SCCF's Nature Center, 3333 Sanibel-Captiva Road on Sanibel, from 6-8 p.m.
Proceeds from Wines in the Wild will benefit SCCF's operation funds. SCCF is dedicated to the conservation of coastal habitats and aquatic resources on Sanibel and Captiva and in the surrounding watershed through environmental education, land acquisition, landscaping for wildlife, marine research, natural resource policy, sea turtle conservation and wildlife habitat management.
