Sanibel Harbor Marriott executives help Animal Refuge Center

June 6, 2014
Special to the Reporter (sancapnews@breezenewspapers.com) , Island Reporter, Captiva Current, Sanibel-Captiva Islander

The Animal Refuge Center received several helping hands from the hotel executives of the Sanibel Harbor Marriott Resort.

The group of nine executives, including new General Manager Tom Custo, came by bus with weed wackers, work gloves, and a "we're here to help" smile on their faces. In the five hours they were here, the team helped us to completely rearrange our office, get our new copier hooked up thanks to their brilliant IT specialist, clear leaves and brush from cottages and runs, trim trees, and clean and organize our food room.

Tracy Palin, catering manager at Sanibel Harbor and ARC Board Trustee, organized the group. The Animal Refuge Center at 18011 Old Bayshore Road in North Fort Myers is always open and grateful to businesses looking to organize group volunteer days.
