With the fire contained, officials have turned to determining the cause of a blaze that quickly enveloped a Cape Coral home Tuesday morning.

Cape Coral Fire Department and Cape Coral Police quickly arrived on the scene of a fully engulfed house fire at 1143 S.E. 29th St. shortly after 10 a.m.

Neighbors say they could smell smoke in the area and, eventually, saw flames and smoke billowing out of the roof.

The home appears to be a total loss.

Cape Coral Fire Department officials do not know the cause of the fire at this time and continue to urge all drivers to avoid the area for the new few hours.
