Eagle to be featured speaker at Republican Women’s luncheon

State Rep. Dane Eagle will be the featured speaker at the monthly Fort Myers Republican Women's luncheon on Tuesday, July 17. He will provide a legislative update from this year's session. A question-and-answer session will be held following the Eagle's presentations.

The public is invited to attend the luncheon and the speaker's presentation being held at The Helm Club, The Landings, South Fort Myers. A social hour begins at 11:15 a.m. The noon lunch will be followed by the business meeting and program.

The luncheon cost is $20. Reservations are required by Thursday, July 12, and may be made by contacting Tina Laurie, 489-4701. Attendees may write their checks to the Republican candidate of their choice and the club will pay for the luncheon.

Future meetings will include Congressman Francis Rooney in August, a presentation about The School Board of Lee County's proposal for a special tax in September, and a review of all the amendments that will appear on the November election ballot in October.
