In recognition of National Park and Recreation Month, the Lee County Parks and Recreation Department will offer free pool admission and free parking on July 28-29.

In June, Lee County commissioners signed a resolution designating July as National Parks and Recreation Month in Lee County. The board recognized the county Parks and Recreation Department as an agency that touches the lives of individuals, families, groups and the entire community and positively impacts the social, economic and environment quality of the county.

This year's national theme is "A Lifetime of Discovery."
