Make Your Own Bee Box

Many of Florida's solitary bees lay their eggs in hollow branches. Attract the pollinators to your yard by making a bee box from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation's Native Landscapes and Garden Center, at 3333 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel. All materials will be provided, and participants will go home with a box and information about attracting bees; bring own hammer, if possible. Cost is $30.
